What can I say? Firstly, I cannot recommend Mike enough. The knowledge and understanding he has of dogs is second to none.
We needed help with our two overseas rescues, Dotty and Tilly.
Dotty needed help to become more confident when out in the big wide world. She was scared of her own shadow! With this, she would pull like mad to try and avoid things.
Tilly on the other hand, would pull because she gets so excited and would also get frustrated when on a lead. When we walked past another dog, she would be squealing, barking and getting agitated.
The progress she has made is amazing and Mike has taught me how to continue to develop her control.
The training has been really interesting and fun and is tailored to your dog's individual needs.
My girls now walk calmly and I enjoy taking them out now, rather than dreading it.

We recently worked with Mike to help train our two very stubborn, reactive-on-walks dachshunds, who are both 9.
For years, we avoided taking them out much due to their reactivity toward other dogs—it was embarrassing and stressful, to be honest.
But with an upcoming move abroad, apartment living means walks would be our only option, so we decided it was time for a change.
I honestly can’t believe the progress. Walking them is now a pleasure, something I’d never thought I’d say! The biggest lesson was realising how much I, as the owner, was doing wrong.
Mike’s guidance wasn’t just about training the dogs; it was about training me to be a better handler for them. On top of that, he even helped us tackle their reactivity in pubs and cafes—a huge bonus!

After introducing himself and explaining his approach, we booked an introductory session straight away.
Mike took the time to assess our dogs, understand their individual needs, and provided a detailed report with a structured 6-session training programme.
During each 1-hour lesson, Mike was attentive, patient, and always adapting his methods based on how our dogs were responding. He listened to our concerns, reassured us throughout, and constantly observed the dogs to make sure they were engaged.
For context, we have two dogs with very different challenges—one is an attention-seeker who loves to bark (a lot!), while the other is a sighthound with zero recall. Thanks to Mike’s training and our consistency in between sessions, we’ve seen huge improvements:
